Kokoda Spirit Racing

Trials and tribulations of the KSR trail running team.

The Long Run – picture diary

On Sunday we all got together for our last long run as a team before the Kokoda Challenge in 3 weeks.  We chose a beautiful route from Springbrook to Binna Burra and back.  Here are a few images from the day.

Early morning smiles on the first creek crossing of the day.

Hopefully the only view anyone else will get of our team on July 14th 😉

Ben doesn’t need to duck for this tunnel.

Numinbah Valley road and the sun is out.

“Dave you told me this was a trail!”

“Dave stopping taking pictures and help me out of here!”

Trail running or rock climbing?

Worth it for the view.

Then came the LONG downhill.

And there went Dan’s legs.  Sugar anyone?

Don’t worry mate at least there are only a few stairs back up to the car, about 500metres vertical worth!

Caine powering to the top.

Note to self: Must remember to shave nipple hair before applying tape next time.

42km, 2200m of climb and descent, 5 1/2 hours on the feet – job done 🙂
